Catherine de Zegher has received the 2011 US Art Critics Association (AICA-USA) award for Best Thematic Museum Show in New York.

This was awarded for On Line: Drawing Through the Twentieth Century which was presented at MoMA, New York in 2011.

Each year, the AICA-USA presents its AICA Awards honouring artists, curators, museums, galleries and other cultural institutions in recognition of excellence in art exhibitions. The 24 winning projects from 2012 were nominated and voted on by the 400 active members to honour outstanding exhibitions of the previous season (June 2010 – June 2011).

Catherine de Zegher is also the curator of the Australian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013. There she will curate a solo exhibition of the work of Sydney-based artist Simryn Gill.
