Biennale de Lyon 2019

The Biennale of Lyon has announced that the upcoming 15th edition will be curated by Jean de Loisy and his team of young curators from the Palais de Tokyo: Daria de Beauvais, White Adelaide, Yoann Gourmel, Katell Jaffrès, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel,
Vittoria Matarrese, Claire Moulène and Hugo Vitrani.

“It is an exciting challenge for curators of the Palais de Tokyo to take up the curatorial post for the upcoming Biennale de Lyon: a biennale that continues to go beyond the conventional boundaries of art; that allows artists to produce new and ambitious works; that values the productive and cultural capacities of an entire region in an international context; a biennale designed as a landscape in motion.” (Jean de Loisy)

The Biennale of Lyon has previously entrusted the curating to the team of the Parisian establishment in 2005 with Nicolas Bourriaud and Jerome Sans, who at the time served as the Palais’ co-directors.
