The curator’s blog informs about the 2013 Carnegie International, which is scheduled to open at Carnegie Museum of Art in October 2013.

Contributors Daniel Baumann, Dan Byers, Amanda Donnan, Tina Kukielski and Jen Lue: “The blog includes experiences, discoveries, and insights into Pittsburgh, our way of thinking, and the world (as far as we have access to it anyway)”.

In the run-up to the exhibition, the curatorial team has furthermore established a satellite space in an apartment in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This space accommodates visiting artists and curatorial colleagues, as well as an ongoing series of screenings, artist talks, and presentations for audiences of up to about fifty people.  In concert with the blog, the apartment space expands the International‘s reach and scope, giving form to the temporal aspect of the exhibition’s development and bringing some transparency to the planning process.
