Beaufort04 is the fourth edition of the Triennial of Contemporary Art by the Sea in 2012. It takes place in 30 locations, spread over the 9 coastal municipalities.

An artistic commission headed by Phillip Van den Bossche, curator for Beaufort04, and intendant Jan Moeyaert made a studied selection of European contemporary artists. With new or existing works, the artists respond to the environment outside the museum and share an imaginative and imaginary world with the visitors of the coast.
