Seminar:

A two-day Seminar will be organised on Dec. 2 and 3, 2012. The theme of the seminar will be Crosspolination and Regional Perspectives.

Each participating country will nominate one representative for the Seminar who will read a paper on the given subject.

Artistic productions of our age are now more and more becoming a way for the artists to address multiplicity of conceptual/cultural positions as well as ideas and perspectives that plumb changing realities. Today’s art is mostly determined by individual’s ability to assimilate diverse and at times even conflicting cultural traits.

The paper will argue that cross-pollination which seems to be the norm today had always existed and played an important role in the making of the cultural landscape of this region, which will help bring into focus the regional perspectives on art adequately demonstrating the fact that most creative individuals of today draw equally from the local realities and present global surge for the new methods and media.
