Bergen Assembly is looking for a Production Manager

As a key member of the Assembly, the Production Manager will oversee all planning and operational aspects of exhibition production. Key responsibilities include: to develop and manage exhibition plans and schedules; coordinating internal and external needs and communicating across Assembly team; manage installation staff schedules and workflow; implementation of production timeline; monitoring contracts; maintain within allotted budget and defined deadlines; working in partnership with venue managers; and to develop and negotiate agreements with contractors.

Bergen Assembly is looking for a dynamic and experienced person to lead the production of the Assembly exhibitions. Essential to this task is someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as strong management ability.

Candidates should have working experience in exhibition production, in an exhibition-related department at an art institution, or a biennial organization. The candidate should also be well versed in exhibition construction techniques, including sound, video, and lighting.

Bergen Assembly is looking for interns

Bergen Assembly is currently seeking interns. The administration of Bergen Assembly works with tasks spanning over a number of areas, including: administration and project management, communication and media, production assistance, and art mediation.

The internships are open to those who wish to gain first-hand experience on how an art triennial functions. The intern must be interested in art, preferably with a degree in related disciplines. Under supervision interns will assist with regular departmental activities ranging from research and special projects to routine office tasks.

Interns will be engaged from now, continuously throughout the spring of 2013. Duration of internship and number of working days per week will be determined on an individual basis.
