Sydney Biennale is on the hunt for an event superstar and VIP handler to help out for the 19th Biennale of Sydney Opening Week, Friends and VIP programs.

The Guest Relations Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning, execution and evaluation of the Biennale’s Benefaction programs, activities and events in the lead-up to and during our opening week. We’re looking for someone with a high level of attention to detail, an efficient and courteous manner, and the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.

The successful applicant will be part of a team of highly motivated, specialist staff and play a key role in the organisation. A proven track record in coordinating events, a keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required.

The Guest Relations Assistant is a crucial part of the Benefaction team, working on the planning, execution and evaluation of the 19th Biennale of Sydney Opening Week Program, including activities of the Biennale’s Benefaction, Friends and VIP Programs.

The Guest Relations Assistant reports directly to the Head of Benefaction. The position offers the rare opportunity to work in a small team and be involved with participating Australian and international artists and visitors in the delivery of one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in the Asia-Pacific region.

The position works closely with the Benefaction Coordinator and Grants and Applications Manager.

In addition, the position works with the Marketing and Sponsorship, Public Programs and Education, Exhibition, Finance and Administration teams.

This is a contracted full-time position for four (4) months and Australian citizens or permanent residents need only apply.
