During the forum it became apparent that such a convention for biennale makers is much needed. Professionals from all regions were able to get to know their international colleagues, new exchanges and relations have been created, and new thinking has been brought to the fore.

At the Biennial Representatives Meeting, attended by over sixty biennial representatives from around the world, common objectives for biennale organizations were discussed. It was agreed to create a stronger professional alliance amongst colleagues. Together with the Gwangju Biennale Foundation and Ifa-Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen Biennial Foundation is currently working on this process.

Interest has been shown from various biennials to host World Biennial Forum No2. We will keep you informed on these developments. All talks of the WBF No1 have been recorded and will soon be uploaded on www.worldbiennialforum.org
